help 4 starting problems

for those who have starting problems(sometimes it starts and other times it doesn't) with your chevy lumina, it might be a computer problem. Mine does it when it is wet outside or if the temperatures goes from one extreme to the other.

If you try to start it and it will not start and you hear a clicking noise, look to see if the check engine light comes on the dash. If it does not when you turn the key, my solution is go and get your hair dryer.

I know it sounds strange but it works and can save you alot of time and money replacing parts you do not need to replace.

Take you hair dryer or a heater and put it under your glove box so you can heat up the computer. After a few minutes your car should start up.

This happens to my vehicle all the time and this works. I have had my vehicle to a numerous number of garages and on the computer system to check for codes and no one could figure it out. The electric system on these vehicles are horrible.

Re: help 4 starting problems

You must be talking about the newer luminas (95+). I have 2 of the older ones (91 & 92) and my computer is in the passenger side fender. I always had to get out and commence beating the living hell out of my starter when it did that till I replaced it. My friend had the same problem (91 Grand Prix, same car, W body), but his turned out to be an engine ground.
