Primera header
for those that have installed a Primera header to a G20, what are the odds of our US headers bolting onto a UK car for example?

If it will go one way (Euro header to US car) then I see no reason that it shouldn't go the other way (US header to Euro car). The only thing is that you'll need to plug the EGR port on the header, since European SR20 motors aren't equiped with an EGR system.

Anthony how much HP do you think I would gain if for example I bought a Hot Shot header/CAT back exhaust sytem/cold air intake/filter? I think I would easily be making GT power.

you would see about 15-20 wheel horse power.

b-b00gie would my car run just as smoothly and would I see a reduction in MPG?

Neil - an aftermarket header from the states will give you more power than a standard Primera GT header, which in turn gives you more power than a standard 130bhp Primera header.
Your car won't be rough, although it will probably be a little louder. I don't see any reason that fuel economy should get worse, and potentially, should get better since the engine can breathe easier. I should be acquiring a Primera GT header for my Primera SRi soon, so I'll let you know what sort of difference I notice. I reckon that I'll get about 6 or 7bhp and about 5lb/ft torque from the header swap. With an aftermarket AEBS or Hotshot header, you'll probably get about 10bhp and 10lb/ft torque as a guess.

Neil, what Anthony said is right, you should make more power and theoritically get better MPG due to the engine breathing easier..
As for horse power gains, you should see the following.. cat-back exhaust 5 to 7 HP @ wheels header 8 to 10 HP @ wheels intake 3 to 4 HP @ wheels (6 to 8 HP if cold air intake) This is what I've seen from dyno results of car owners, not rigged up dyno charts from manufacturers...

So the euro headers are better than US? big differnce or no.
These are stock in EU right, so how much do EU dealers want for them? How much do they weigh? Just curious, thanks |

Yes, the Euro Primera GT exhaust headers, and I believe the Japanese headers, are superior to the US headers. I'm not entirely sure how much you'd gain from swapping them, but it won't be as much as a proper aftermarket header.
If you are over in the US, then I would have thought you would have been better spending a few extra dollars and getting a Hotshot or AEBS exhaust header. These will both give you more performance than a stock Euro/JDM header will.
