96 accord won't crank

The wouldn't crank this morning. Had the battery load tested. They said it was bad. Replaced the battery and still wouldn't crank. Had 12v to the solenoid when I tried starting. Tried tapping the starter motor, nothing. Doesn't make a sound when we try and crank. No engagement, nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tom

12 volts on what terminal. If you had it on the big wire but not on the small wire, you need to check the ignition switch, clutch/shifter position switch depending on manual or automatic transmission. Also, there are fuses in the solenoid circuit. The big one is a 80A and a 50A that is in the ignition switch circuit and a 7.5A in the clutch interlock circuit.

Sorry for the lack of info. I had 12 volts on the small wire. I tested the starter and it was the culprit. I believe it was probably the solenoid but didn't have the time to fix that by itself, so I bought a rebuilt one.

Thanks.
