94 S-10 Blazer grinding god aweful sound

Ok i got a 94 blazer i just replaced the automatic hubs. I also replaced my diafram and cable for 4 wheel drive. But before i fixed the 4x4 i have a problem where my passenger side wheel like at a regular rate of speed vibrates and well feels like rubbing at the same time more like a rubbing but i mean its god aweful loud. I looked at the ball joints and tie rod ends and they all look in good shape but it feels like my wheel is coming off. So i established it wasent the wheel bearing and i guess maybay the axle is the next one to check??? Thanks any help would really be appreciated

Re: 94 S-10 Blazer grinding god aweful sound

How did you replace the automatic hubs? I'm trying to picture my rig right now and I don't believe that it has any.
That diafram and cable that you mention is what lockes the diferential up to make the front wheels spin.
That's what spins the CV shafts which spin the wheels. So no automatic locking hubs required. At least not what I consider to be hubs.

Thinking about how the system works I seriously think that it's the wheel bearing. If it isn't then it'll be some suspension parts or a bad CV joint. There is a very small chance that it's the front dif acting up.

um

I replaced the actuator and cable that runs to the differential. And the wheel bearing was replaced... So then it goes from there... Any more help?

Re: 94 S-10 Blazer grinding god aweful sound

If it was quiet before the job that I would still say you got a faulty wheel bearing, or it could heve been installed wrong.

I've seen both of these happen even with the best mechanics

Other than trying to jack that corner up and getting a friend to spin the wheel while you look I'll have to say wait for a few more answers.

Goos Luck with that problem
