new problem! once again...

well, i finally got the fuel line connected to the carb, and i started her up, shes a lot more noisy now though. i pulled her out and was driving good, i was happy. yet it was noisy and smelt funny so i searched around, the power steering pump is squealing now, and theres this salt water like smell, its giving me a headache, im guessing its exhaust, and then i saw a loose spark plug flopping around in its hole, so i had just bought new plugs and wires for this thing and so i put the new ones in, flushed the radiator, added coolant, and power steering fluid, sprayed some wd-40 on the power steering pump and the squealing stopped, then i saw a loose wire that looked like the wire harness looking thing that goes on the carb? so i hooked it to the carb where i saw a spot, it slid onto a little metal piece, and i put the air filter on, which it didnt have on earlier when i drove it, ok so now when i start it which is now harder, it keeps dying on me. it will idle fine and stay on but when i move it just dies on me. any ideas? it worked in the morning and now its dying so which of those things? any ideas appreciated.

it sounds like you may have hooked up an electric choke on the carb and its not pulling off when you step on the gas. the choke linkage may be out of adjustment, or the mechanism may be faulty
