1997 3.3L "Hick-up"

Just started yesterday; 1997 Grand Caravan, 114K miles. Driving along about 60 mph with the cruise control on and the vehicle, for lack of a better term, "hick-upped". Speed slowed about 15 mph on the odometer and tach showed a decrease as well. Regained power and speed on its own within 1 to 2 seconds. No lights at all. Happened again three more times with cruise control on and off and at fast and slow speeds. My wife said it happened to her today, going about 30 mph. I stopped by the Chrysler dealer today and asked a rep and mechanic and was told "It could be a lot of things, hard to tell." All fluid levels are good. Was wondering if it could be a fuel filter? Don't know where it is or how to change it. Any ideas out there? Thanks in advance for any help.

I think the mech. was right, could be a lot of things. I would have them check and see what codes have been stored first. It is tough on intermittent troubles if it does not do it when they have it at the dealer. At 114K though, the fuel pump is on borrowed time. My present GC, I changed the fuel pump and water pump at about 100K as I do a lot of driving in the boonies, and don't want it to pick out in the boondocks for the pump to fail.
Good luck

Very simple fix, had replaced the negative battery connector a while back and thought if I replaced the positive one I would fix the problem. Didn't help, but found the negative connector was loose. Have been driving trouble free since tightening the connector. Cheers...
