5 Speed tranny question

Please help, I have no 5th gear in my 95 wrangler 2.5. 110,000 miles. shifts normal in all other gears. Normal slop but just nothing there when placed in 5th. Suggestions? Thanks

i have a question... does the shifter move into the position where 5th gear is or will it not let you go into 5th at all?

i have a 94 yj qith 2.5 and 5spd. with the same problem but it wont last to long mine ran like taht for about 3months then it just locked up and wont go into any gear at first i thought i lost the clutch but after pulling the tranny learned different . so my advise to u is get it fixed now before it causes more problems and more money

I also have a 95 wrangler and I had the exact same problem. There is a linakge pin/rod in the tranny that is pretty common to break. the problem is to replace it is almost the same price as a new tranny. i rode with mine like that for abou 1k miles with no problems then put a new tranny in. Do some shopping around for prices I found my tranny on the internet for about half of what anyone locally could do for me. I then took it in to someone to pay for the instalation. total cost of about a grand. I almost took on putting it in myself but since i have no garage i figured i should let someone else do it. That was the first mod I have not done myself---
