Re: turbo a d15b2
i dont even think 150 would be safe for a dd unless it was a realy good tune. the rods are the size of a sharpie. but do it then once it blows throw in a z6 and run almost 200 daily

Re: turbo a d15b2
it could be, it could not be. whos knows. thats why i said use 150 as a max. me personally i would probably go for 130 or 140whp. depending on turbo size it would probably be 6 or 7 psi

Re: turbo a d15b2
damn..thats sad, lol 130 hp turbo honda... just swap in a d16z6 and have 128hp and not worrie about it. 300 will get you a z6 motor add another 100 with a tranny, you can run it obd1 with the p28, or use a pm6 with a vtec switch. than you save money and turbo the z6 ...if you want...just my opnion

i am doing this so the d15b2 can pull the tall gears of the hf tranny i put in. i was reading homemadeturbo.com and they said a probe turbo will work but i was wondering if that would be good for a daily driver. any other suggestions on turbo set ups from other cars. i am doing this just to putts around and have fun you know tinker.

Re: turbo a d15b2
dont look at it as psi because different turbos put out different hp at different psi.
you want to look at it as how much hp do you want. |

i am not looking for horse power numbers. i am looking for reliability. i just would kind of like to know what max psi a d15b2 can run at. (this car is for economical and relability only. if you saw it you would say ooo yeah hes right.

would 7 psi be ok for the d15b2 or will that be too much and screw something up?

Re: turbo a d15b2
5-7 psi would be good just run an intercooler anyways it will help. that will be safe and you still can have fun

5-7 psi will give u prolly around 35-55hp gain to the crank on a b2.. but what id be worried about is getting enough fuel.. im not sure if u can upgrade any1 of those (2) injectors or not.. something to look into if ur intrested.. if i were u id definately would do a mpfi conversion first.
