94 Intrepid lights on

Hello, I have a 94 Intrepid ES with the 3.3 engine that has close to170k miles on it. Last weekend, I started to have a problem with the headlights. The lights had come on by themselves, without the switch being turned on. They eventually shut off after the car was started and stoped several times. A couple of days later when I got home from work,(after dark) I shut off the lights; but before I got out of the car, the lights came back on for a few minutes. Later, the lights came on and stayed on. I had to put the fuse to kill them. I thought that it might be the headlight delay relay acting up and replaced it, but the lights stay on. Does anybody have an idea on this problem??
I have recently replaced the battery cable clamps because the neg. clamp was halfway corroded thru and the positive clamp was also corroded. I replaced the battery because it was about four years old and you had to turn the key to start three or four times the engage the starter, but this lights on problem could have been running down the battery.
P.S. Since I put the fuse for the headlights, the power door locks don't work.

Hi, no , the car doesn't have daytime lights. When I bought the headlamp delay relay, I asked the dealer for a price on a positive battery cable, and wa suprised when he told me $202.00. I guess that there is a harness that gets replaced as a unit. Do you think that my replacing the battery clamps could have messed up this harness?

Yes, I pulled the switch out, pulled in the fuse, and the lights are still on. I tested the switch while I had it out, and the only resistances that seemed off were for the dash light brightness adjustments.

I guess I'll just have to start chasing wires.

I think I might have fixed the problem. When I replaced the positve battery clamp, there were two small wires attached to the clamp bolt on the old clamp. I cleaned up the eye terminal and reconnected them to my new clamp. The lights problem started after that. (within a week).
I dis-connected those wires, and now the lights work, and the power door locks work again. At one time, this car had a remote starter installed. It was removed brfore I bought the car and I am guessing that those two wires may have been to flash the lights when the remote starter was used. Anyway, the lights are off now; I see if they stay working.
