1993 Dakota - won't start

I've got a 93 Dakota that won't start, (3.9 L, V-6, 2-WD) the starter engages and engine cranks but won't fire and seems like its not getting fuel. I suspect its the fuel pump but wanted to trouble shoot for other possible causes first before having to remove the tank to get at the pump.

The truck started and ran fine previously then just wouldn't start - it had been parked outside in very cold (0 deg.) then cool wet weather (40's) - so moisture or poor elec. connections are a possibilities. Also the gas tank is half full so I'm not out of fuel and the battery is fully charge. I also didn't get any diagnostic codes when I checked - including no "55" indicating the end of the system check - ? is that a problem?

When I turn the key on the fuel pump does not engage and the fuel filter does not seem to be clogged (I connected a hose an blew through it) - when I disconnected the fuel lines very little gas leaked out and no gas came through the inlet line when I turned the key on.

In the power dist. center I switched around the 4 elec. relay switches and they seem okay so I don't think its the ASD or fuel pump relays, all fuses look okay too. However the picture of the replacement part for the fuel pump relay looks different than the switches in the power dist. center - ? is there another switch that I've overlooked?

I'm pretty weak on electronic knowledge but intend to check/clean connections and look for problems with fusable links this weekend but I welcome any tips or any I should focus on. The truck was due for a tune up so I've replaced the plug, wires, dist. cap., rotor, and PCV but none of that has made a difference.

Any ideas?

Re: 1993 Dakota - won't start

lift the fuse/relay box under the hood and open the harness under the box and locate the splice with the red and white trace wires should be about 4 wires all together then pull them apart and resolder
