What size socket to remove CV shaft???
I have an early 99 Jetta TDI and need to take the CV shafts off. What tool do I need? It looks like an allen head bolt but with some sort of 12 point torx. Is it the same socket as the head bolts take?

Re: What size socket to remove CV shaft???
i believe its the 9mm triple square socket. either 9 or 10mm.. i forget. you can get a set of sockets for problably 20$ at a tool shop that has 8-13mm triple squares.
head bolt socket is a poly drive- totally different
