Replacing dash lights help needed

Does anybody know how difficult it is to replace the bulbs in the instrument panel? I have a 99 Amigo/Rodeo Sport V6 4x4 and can no longer see the clock & half of the temp controls. The bulb in the fog lamp swich is no longer working as well, may as well replace them all while at it. I plan on keeping this car for a long time since it has been the most reliable car I ever owned & the most fun (92000 miles with no problems whatsoever so far)! Any suggestions or tips are very appreciated!

I'm with you on this one. My clock light just went out and I can't find out any information on safely taking off the meter assembly. I have a problem with forcing things off. Also I cannot find out what size bulbs to use.
On a related note. My instrument lights, reveiw lights, cab light, radio lights waver in intesity ever so mildly. I thought I was sniffing too many oil base paints at work but the are slightly increasing and decreasing in intensity. It only happens at idle and sometimes if I apply the parking brake the pulsing stops.

I think it is the alternator pulley. I get a squeal from the belt in cold weather on start up and then after the car warms up the squeal becomes insignificant. I'm thinking 3 things.
1 alternator or pulley is on the way out. 2 replace tensioner pulley. 3 maybe because the clock bulb is burnt out it is causing the rest of the lights to mildly pulse.

Any help would be appreciated.

My dash lights all need replacing too. Speedo/tacho/fuel/oil gauge etc. all in darkness. First one went out, then the next and so on, during this last year. Do you REALLY have to pull the entire fascia off, including the steering wheel, as advised in the Haynes manual? Has anyone actually done this? How much of a pain is it? Hey John,
I had the same issue with my Trooper... The voltage reg. on the alternator went out. Had to replace the whole alternator. You might want to get it tested soon... I understand voltage spikes can mess with the elctronics in a bad way
