Interior Lights

Recently I noticed that my dome lights did not turn off except with the override button. Folks here suggested that one of the door switches was not working properly. I checked them and they seem to look correct. I did notce that my door open indicator light is not working when any of my doors are open. The rear hatch light seems ok. Might I have a fuse out? And if so what number on the fuse block is it? Inside block or under hood? I have a 2000 LS S-10. Any suggestions would be great.

No fuses for the switches as they are ground based. One of your front door switches is out. The way to find out which one is to pull the switch then disconnect the pigtail. Then using a paperclip, jump both wires. If the dome light goes out you found the bad switch.

Re: Interior Lights

When I found mine I just opened the gate and manually pushed the button to turn the lights off and it turned right off. The gate wasn't applying enough pressure to the button, so I took the button out.
