Exhaust Noise

Ok guys, I know this sounds lame but I installed a Catback Magnaflow system on my 96Gt that for the most part is too loud. I love the sound when the car is under hard acceleration, but when just tooling around the drone gets annoying, expecially with the windows down. The muffler is a large bore double tipped one. My question is, does anyone have any ideas/experience about how I can stop the drone short of changing the muffler? I have lined the trunk with sound deading stuff, the kind availible at stereo shops and it helped a bit but not all that much. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Exhaust Noise

Alright, from personal experience large mufflers, especially.. the cheap ones.. have a funny sound on this car. When I bought my car, the previous owner had a "Custom" exhaust on it.. sounded absolutely terrible..... I replace all the piping to 2.5 inch and put a good quality DC Sport canister muffler... they surprisingly look good on this car. They sound better... still get a little bit of droning.. but nothing close to before. It was also suggested to me to add a second resonator...

Re: Re: Exhaust Noise

Thanks, I never thought of the second resinator idea. It was my understanding that the Magnaflow was a pretty good product, at least from what I could glean on the internet.
