Low heat in cab

I've got low heat in my truck's cab. I've replaced the thermostats..thinking this would solve my problem, checked for air locks. I've got plenty of heat in the hose going to the core but hardly any heat in the cab. I've read many other threads and it sounds like it could be the actuator control. The problem is that I don't were it is situated in a 2500 Silverado year2000. Some people are talking of it been situated on top of the gas pedal and some are talking about the blower motor. What and where should I look for?

Have you ever replaced the air cabin filters? I bet they are really clogged and not allowing enough air to enter the cabin.

That would be the first thing to check.

There are 2 (two) hoses to the heater core. They both need to be about the same temp. You indicated only one hose being hot in your post?? On my '98 Sub the temp control door actuator is located on the aft side of the plenum (were the air comes out) close to the centerline of the tranny hump. Looks like a small upside down house. The Sub doesn't have cabin air filters, so I can't help you there.

I was gone for the weekend and just got back. I will be checking the actuator tomorrow. I'd like to check the cabin air filter at the same time but I don't how to go about. Don't know where they are . Does anyone know?

I fixed the problem=dirty core. I flushed it and it works fine now.
