side windows won't defog!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in the midwest and it is bitter cold right now. It is taking too long long for the heater to warm up and while it defogs the front window the side windows remain fogged. What can I do the resolve this issue?

Re: side windows won't defog!!!!!!!!!!!!

start the car sooner, turn the blower on higher.....not much else. I let my car warm up for a good 15-25 minutes before going to work, and even though it's toasty inside, I still have to brush snow off the side and back windows.

You said the windows are 'fogged up'. The fastest way to get rid of interior moisture is to turn on the A/C switch. Even with the heater going the A/C system will remove moisture from the inside. (If you have A/C.) Just turn on the heater as usual only push the A/C button too.

A block heater that keeps the coolant warm will give you a head start in the mornings.

Set your heater controls to 'Vent' and point the outer vents toward the windows and close off the center two. This won't do anything for the windshield in this setting.

You can buy after-market electric heaters that plug into the cigarette lighter. These might help but don'y warm up the glass too fast!

I solved the problem permanently by moving to Yuma, Arizona
I was running my A/C yesterday afternoon
