You know what really grinds my gears?.?.

These little, I mean LITTLE ricers that have invaded my favorite cruising/racing spots like the plague. They pull up beside you, rev it up, make a LOT of noise, and BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA(15mph), BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA(20mph, maybe), etc etc.... Anywho, I'm in town with my cousin ridin shotgun waiting on a few "female friends" to show up...Sitting at a stop light, this little "thing" pulls along side.. Fart muffler, dual spoilers, neons, purging NOS......blah blah and by the sound of it, he wants to race. I decide not to and off he/she goes. Ok, the next stop light, i get fed up and tell my cousin were racing him now. Light turns green...I ease into the accelerator for tractive purposes, and eventually nail it, leaving that little stickered up poo box in my converterless fumes. I then pull over to talk to some people. Guy pulls up, said I cheated...wants a re-match. Well, no rematch but i damn near got into an ass-kicking contest because little boy wonder can believe his heavily modded ricer got toasted by my "heavy chevy". (BTW, i have a '96 Monte, 3100, ported/polished heads and upper and lower plenum, 3400 T/B, highly modified 4T60-E, hollow converter, 2.5" exhaust, blah blah). After this experience, i recall an episode of Hot Rod TV where they took a civic, dropped in a spoon engine, a shot of NOS, PCM, and a whole lot of other BS, and got around 175 HP at the wheels on the dyno. My car made that kind of power BEFORE i touched it...Bone Stock.. Those f**kers are what grind my gears.. Back to you Diane.....

oh well don't let it get to you. if urs is so much better, just race'em once and put them in their place and remind them they drive a POS and no matter how many stickers and other mods they do to it. at least that's what i'd do if i drove a nicer car...i'm still stuck with my lumina for awhile

You're making fun of 175 fwhp, but when it only has to pull 2000 pounds, it's fast.

On the contrary, for less than the price of Bone Stock civic, I could buy a Suzuki Hayabusa, or GSX-R 1300, and atleast have performance to match my matcho attitude.

Not that I have a macho attitude, but anyone racing a honda civic w/ the ricer kit thinking they can win against anything short of a horse and buggy obviously has something wrong with their attitude.

They don't bother me. I just press the gas pedal and let them make excuses for themselves. As I smile.

You guys think driving any of those cars and having them mess with you is bad, try driving around a muscle car. Most of them in my area know they can't beat it but when I go somewhere else it is like bees on honey.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?.?.

Lindsay Lohan with all those little outfits...jumping around there on stage, half naked with your little outfits. ya know? You're up there jumping around and I'm just sitting here with my beer, so...ya know, what am I supposed to do? What do you want? Are we gonna go out? Is that what you're trying? WHy you leaping around there, throwing those things all up in my face? What do you want, Lindsay? Tell me what you want! Well I'll tell you what you want, you want nothing! you want NOTHING! Allright, cause we all know that no woman anywhere wants to have sex with anyone...and to titillate us with any thoughts otherwise is, is just bogus!
