Jdm Vs. Usdm

ok what is better I know jdm's have more horses, but I heard that people in japan only change their oil every 6k miles instead of 3k and they ride them really ruff because their government makes them get new engines after 30k miles, is this true

why would their government make them change their engines all the time???.....i heard they just sell their cars after awhile cuz they're too expensive to own and you might as well buy a new car....well....i'm pretty sure that if you buy from a respectable company like k. watanabe or someplace like that.....the engines would be in good condition.....if it's legal where you're from....i say go for it.....if it's not legal....i say go for it anyways.....just figure out a way to smog it.....

actually it is like this....In Japan owning a car is considered a luxury, most people do not drive daily who own cars there. They use mass transit, just think, Japan is like a bigger NYC, lol. The fact is in almost all cases you should be able to find a J-spec motor for cheaper than a USDM motor, that is just how it is. Here is why, our shop deals with a company who sends people over to Japan and goes door to door offering money to buy people's cars off them. They are then sent to the good ol US of A and then cut in half. Not exactly in half depends on what they want from the car . This way they cannot sell clips of cars (it is confusing technical shit and if anyone really wants it explained IM me or e-mail me) and some compaines will sell you the whole car that they cut and you can take out what you need or just sell the motor, but in the case, if you buy the motor, they still have JDM seats/JDM lights in some cases and other things they can make the money off the car, after everything of value is taking they sell it to a metal shop and make some extra cash .

or the same as the 95 Del Sol VTEC or the '99 Si.

Also, you can get JDM motors for dirt cheap because (and this is from what ive read) they have an abundent supply since yes, they do have to swap out motors every 30,000 miles due to their emissions laws or something like that, I dont know, So what do they do with these extra motors? they make a nice little profit importing them to the states or other countries. only reason you find them so much and so cheap is becuase of smog laws after 30K miles they have to pay a much higher tax on there car for smog laws there for they get pulled

btw most JDM enignes come in nasty cond they are shiped over on boats get knocked around parts broke off and so on

if your having a shop do the swap go JDM if your doing it go USDM

EVERYTHING on my JDM engine had to be replaced EVERYTHING "other then inside the engine"
from bent to broke off to never on it... blah still Im fighting dumb problems
