First Manga Attempt
Yo. As many of you know I'm new to the whole drawing thing. Here's my first half decent manga...

Haha...its a little girl. I used a character from the series Elefen Leid as inspiration. http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/2...enlied49un.jpg <<<thats her (sorry about the lack of clothing) I'm using that and about 5 other pics to learn how to draw eyes, noses, etc, and kinda mix them to develop my own style.

Werd. I did the legs while my comp was down so I didnt have anything to go by. This is all just a learning curve for me. What exactly makes the legs "manly"? If you dont mind me asking? The right leg doesnt look right I know. I screwed up and got in a hurry fixing it. HONU, it seems your my exclusive fan, lol.

Well, like you said, it's mostly the right leg. The huge knee, and the fat-thin leg shape had me thinking man. And the almost workboot like shoes...

Great...there's two guys fighting over me. I feel like a gayer backstreet boy. Haha. Here's an extremely rough sketch of a skater chick. It didnt exactly come out looking like Naru but who cares? I dont reall like the style Narus is rendered in, with the small eyes and undefined nose. I also don't read manga, BTW. I watch the anime shows and like the art. I cant really get into the comics. Hook-Ups decks break really easily btw. I had the one with the big tittied nurse with blood all over her...haha. Edit: Does anyone have any tips for drawing shoes? Mine either come out reall tiny or mis shapen. Great work on the toon Vdub, HONU.

Hmm... Shoes. Damn, you know, I've never tried to draw shoes. Maybe, concentrate on the outline first? Then fill it in slowly, and LIGHTLY, so you can correct easily. Take a breather after every 3-5 steps and compare shoe to referance picture. If all is good, continue, or correct as needed.
As for mis-shapen, maybe draw a 3D box around her ankle first, LIGHTLY, then draws the outline in nthat, and see above steps.
