ABS light on after a bump
My ABS light comes on while going down the road and hitting a bump. It does not happen all the time, you stop turn the motor off and it will be off for awhile hit another bump and it is back on. Any help ?????

I would check your speed sensor connections at the hubs. They may be loose enough that a bump allows the circuit to open, but then come back into contact. It's enough to trip a fault, but since they come back into contact it works again when the next diagnostic test is ran when you turn the car on.

Same thing happened to me, called the chevy dealer and they said to check the connections under the van. There are wires leaving each rear hub, these wires then trace towards the front of the vehicle, about 2-3 feet from the hub they connect route thru a connector. this is were my problem laid. Hooked it back up and the problem was fixed. I spent a lot of time removing the rear wheel and tracing the wires checking for broken wires etc, then spent about 20 seconds putting the connection back together that I should have looked for in the first place. this may not be your problem but it seems to be the same circumstances. good luck.
