I am contemplating purchasing a used 1989 Camaro? It has 90,000 miles on it and is selling for 4g? It's in really good shape for that old of a car, looks like the previous owner took care of engine really well. Is this a good buy?

4K is too much unless it is in showroom condition...I'd go $2500 for a car with those miles on it. Less if it wasn't an IROC with a 350 TPI.

Re: 1989 Camaro
Yeah it only had a 305...I knew that sales guy was a bit fishy. I told him the kbb value was 2.5k but he wouldn't go down from 3.5k. So screw him...

Re: 1989 Camaro
I got a '94 with a 3.4 V6 and T-Tops for $1100. I almost bought a 1990 RS Convertible last year for $2200 with 89,000 mi. That salesman is just looking for a sucker.

Re: 1989 Camaro
Sounds like a ripoff to me. There are so many RS Camaros with TBI 305's out there anywhere from $1500 - $2500. No need to pay that much unless the car has a 350 in it already.
