My new Project CRX

I finally bought CRX for my chassis project, I had to buy new chassis cause the civic one is in really bad shape, cause of those hard starts (drag racing) and all that it's been through it stretched a bit and it's not good anymore for building a roll cage in it and to weld all the stiches...
So here is the plan this CRX chasis is gona be striped down and then all chasis is gona be welded (like the prodrive impreza) and then we'll put in FIA aproved roll cage (welded inside)...then I'll do the iVT front conv. already have some parts ordered hood, lights and bumper...
And when the chassie will be finished I'll put in the motor and all the goodies from civic into this race car CRX

Some photos of CRX and other cars that I have

Side view with CRX iVT original rims

Rear end (I must say this car is in souch a great shape, no rust ! )

Front end without bumper already in garage

Interior, seat os with out a screch and holes all interior is in awesome shape

already striped a little, bough this way but got all the parts
(owner wanted to do a swap B16A but he lose the will to go on , so that's why he sold me the car )

And the other two hondas we have, my civic and the gf's civic that is waiting for spring to get the rest of the body kit fited)

And sedan as my daily beater :0) have some plan for that beater to (JDM look in mind)

So now I have almost all civics 4th gen since this CRX is called Civic CRX, all I need now is wagovan :0) red colored

Will keep you posted aboutthe project

Re: My new Project CRX

Sweet. That CRX has potential. I love those "phone dial" style rims. If I could get those here I would. Keep us posted man...

Re: My new Project CRX

You won't belive it but on civic HB I have 5th gen VTI rims on sedan I have 6th gen VTI rims and on CRX there are 4th gen iVT rims so all rims that came original on best models we got (VTI VTEC is civic with all equipment and B seria motor)
But if I'll have enogh money I'll go with mugen rims...pretty expencive stuff but I think I'll get lots of money from the civic HB that I'll sell part by part

Re: My new Project CRX

I bought this one for 1100$ without engine and tranny...
Plans for this CRX are:
- put the roll cage in (FIA aproved)
- strengthened the chassis (welding)
- iVT front conv. + rear mid light with CRX VTEC on
- VIS JDM mugen style bumper (try to do it from CF)
- the rest of mugen style body kit copy (try to do it from CF)
- mugen rims
- TEIN suspension

That's it and then the engine goes in and dash from civic...

CYA
P.S.:about civic there are not lots of civics with custom made CF hood and custom made bumper that is fully functional (cooling the engine down - enough air through the radiator) lots of mods done on it and I like them all...

Today I got my first part the middle section of rear light with CRX VTEC sticker on, but the previus owner darken those lights so now I must remove that black tint, anyone know with which chemical I shozuld do it so I won't damafge the light, already tried a little with anti-silicone but it didn't work...
