Question Help with Auto Shipping and Transport

Can anybody give me some advice on shipping a vehicle from New England to New Orleans? I've tried two companies now, and the first one had a vehicle "blow up" before it picked up my car, and the 2nd one hasn't been able to schedule a shipment in two weeks. I'd hate to fly up and drive it down, but it may come to that.

Any help you can give is much appreciated, thanks!

Search the net for car transport companies. There are a lot! I've used two different ones, and had no problems. Just make sure they are insured and reliable!

It may be cheaper and easier to just give a buddy of yours a plane ticket and a couple hundred bucks to do it

Re: Re: Help with Auto Shipping and Transport

2003 Saab 9-5 Sport Wagon. It's a lease takeover, so the miles will be a killer, but with the money I save from not shipping it I'll do ok on the back end, and I'll likely buy it at the end of the lease anyhow. It has ABS, and I drove my Nissan pickup in the mountains of Colorado in the winter, which is rear-wheel drive. If I could survive the mountains with that ride, I am pretty confident that I'll do ok on the interstates with this new one.

It's not a matter of not being able to find a company, it's been a problem of trying to find a company that can get a driver to come down to New Orleans. Nobody wants to make the run down here, since they're likely heading out with an empty transport.

Anyhow, the trip was great, uneventful. My new car is wonderful, and great fun to drive!

I'm so glad you were able to get the car you wanted - and furthermore that the car was worth the trip!

Post pics.
