Question 1998 Silverado Starting Probs

Hello guys! I have a 1998 Silverado 1500 V8. I have been having a very annoying problem with it for over a year now and no one seems to be able to give me a solution. The problem is that the truck won't start in cold conditions and this doesn't happen all the time...it comes and goes. I should say that there is a crack in the intake? so the antifreeze has been leaking out, but I don't know if this is causing this problem because for some odd reason the truck will start if you jump it. Last year when this problem started I replaced the battery. I don't know if this helped, but it definitely did not solve the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I am at my wits end and am about to get rid of it because I can't figure out what's wrong. I should also mention that it has been to several mechanics and when they hook it up to the computer nothing shows up. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!
