What are your projects for 2006?

Yeah, I did this thread for 2004 and 2005. Now it's time for 2006. I think this year I've learned to be MUCH MORE conservative in my modeling goals. Stuff always gets in the way. So my goal is simple ... finish more than 2 models in 2006, which was all I was able to muster in 2005. The 2 kits for '06 will probably be a Zonda and a Tuscan 400R which I've been itching to build and finish.

Something else I have planned for 2006 (if time permits) is my 1:12 Mini Cooper project. There have been some killer 1:12 kits built here recently, so I wanted to build one too, and I found the Tamiya 1:12 Mini Cooper at Fry's on clearance for $25, so the project was born. I plan on lots of details using home-made photoetch parts and machined parts.

Re: What are your projects for 2006?

No modelling for me this year, I moved out from my old flat and I am curently at my mother in law , so until they finish my new flat (end of September), no modelling for me
Maybe I still do something in last few months.

Project to complete this year would be this:

It's 1/1 scale and is costing a small fortune but, as it's my baby it will be worth all the costs involved. I've got some other ideas for kits to build rolling around inside my head but the bike gets priority over all of them.

I want to get a Koenig 600SL, E30 BMW 323i, Ferrari Testarossa, Honda Prelude XX and Mazda RX-7 (FC3s) done. Which is basically my whole stock of kits. I don't think I can get 'em all done though, because I can only model in summer or spring... otherwise, it gets too humid for painting. Holland, sigh... If only I lived in Lebanon, or something.

ACME has Porsche and pony car themes for '06. Here's what I'm planning:

Fujimi EM '74 IROC Carrera "RSR" #3 Peter Revson
Monogram Martini Edition 924

Monogram 904 (1/24 scale slot car/curbside)
Tamiya Carrera GT w/911 GT1 roof (road car)
Revell Saleen Mustang coupe (w/Scale Coachworks resin body)

If time allows I might finish:

Johan/Motor City Replicas 1970 AMX
Johan 71 Mercury Comet GT
MPC Cosworth Vega
Revell C6/Z06
Revell Viper
AMT Chrysler 300C
Revell Dodge Magnum
Fujimi Mazda RX3 w/1977 USDM SP stripe and body kit

We'll see what actually gets done

Re: What are your projects for 2006?

I'm also building some Porsche's for the ACME show...but one of them is secret. I'm terrible about starting projects then getting side-tracked on another...I wouldn't even bother listing all that I've started, too embarrassing.

Fujimi EM '74 IROC Carrera "RSR" #12 Roger McCluskey
Kitbash 944 Turbo Repsol livery race version(phantom)
Secret *World Debut* Porsche
Secret *World Debut* Alfa Romeo
Secret BMW

Projects to finish:
Pagani Zonda
Shelby One Coupe
Nissan Z Tune 350Z from GT4
Ferrari 288 GTO

Disclaimer: I never stick to my list!

Re: What are your projects for 2006?

I have plans to finish the following that are already in progress:

1/12 69 Camaro
1/24 corvette pro mod
1/24 1987 wrangler monte carlo
all of the pro mod bodies that I started and havn't had time to finish
1/24 ford farelane

new projects
I've got a couple kits that I have acquired and havn't started. I've got a 65 malibu that I want to do a-la malitude, which has gone up for sale.....wish I had 125k

we will see what the coming year brings...I try not to plan too far ahead. when new kits come out, that always changes the scope of things

My list of which I am sure to deviate from depending on new releases coming out but:
Fujimi 550/575 Maranello
AMT 64 Licoln
Amt Chrysler 300
Testors Charger Daytona
Fujimi Lamborghini Gallardo
Revell 05 Mustang
One of the rally cars I have yet to determine.

That is a realistic list, but we'll see.

Before reply I had to count my stocKpile: well a little shop in my room: alt least 78 1/24 item a couple 1/12 tamy and 3 resin multimedia 1/24 kit plus a little unbuilded lancia collection 1/43, so, some choise for '06.

Before all a little remark: during '05 I finish my pennzoil, my R34 xanavi and I begun a full-open R390, a special-project NSX and a delta. But this fu****g year I had damnt less work, so I nedd to think something for '06.

So: project:
-1 '80 contest montecarlo: I 90% design my own PE detailing set and I'm redy to begin build-up for January
-2 Amuse CarbonR: I'm quetly redy to start a thread, actually I update my cast skills and I still produce kind rims
-3 LMM R8 playstation france: 50% decals design work
-4 finish my R390 and start a thread also here (threadstart on other board)
-5 finish the delta
-6 delta 16V tarmac kind, so I'm working to upgrade my mill skills to mill delta rims
-7 R34 01 xanavi full open with engine
-8 also back to my first love: scooby, I've 2+1/2 mounted and 5 waiting

no other, I'm satisfacted in this way

Wow, ambitious lists. I wish I could be so productive.

My goals will be to finish the F40, finish the Mythos, and start and finish the Tamiya 635Csi for the 80's contest. If I finish these all, then I'll....

Oh, nevermind. I'll be happy to finish two this year, instead of just one.

Re: What are your projects for 2006?

For sure I'll end up doing less than I planned !

But I would like to do:
1. An entry to the 80's motorsports comp (037 or 405 PAR-DAK)
2. 250TR Renaissance kit
3. I have an idea for a "Barnyard Find" Ferrari WIP
4. MAybe a Jaguar XJS

I want to finish:

I want to start and finish:

Various Hondas.

But who knows?
