Doing swap will this work???

Yeah got a 5 spd tranny and motor right now but wanting to swap/replace engine I have now. If I get a auto engine...like block and cylinders you know upper part of motor. WOuld that work or do I need a lot of shit????Thanks to all.

auto and manual are the same motor. the only difference is the ECU.

What year is your car? If it's a 95 or 96, you will want to get the same year engine. If it's a 97-99 then any engine from 97-99 will do. Also make sure you get what you already have, SOHC or DOHC. Then you won't need alot of other stuff. The main difference in the PCM/ECU is what tranny you are running.
