I purchased a key from ebay. The MB dealers told me that these are coded to the vin# of each car and cannot be re-programed. Does any one know if they can be re-programed and how to do so? Thanks in advance

It´s amazing those bad gays at E-Bay!! You bought the wrong stuff.
Belive the gay at MB dealer. A spare key that fit your 2000 CLK, you will get only at MB dealer by the VIN # plus the owner certificate.
