I have a 03 Yukon SLT that does not have steering wheel controls. Can I purchase a steering wheel that has the controls, and install without having to buy a wiring harness or worse take it to a dealer. I have pulled the old steering wheel off, but I didn't see a wire harness for the controls, only for the air bag and horn. Is the steering wheel control harness inside the steering column, or am I SOL.

Re: Steering Wheel Technical Question
Im not a pro but i would say that you could just buy a used steering column for the same year and model with the control harness in it allready from a junk yard or somthing and it should bolt right in, the harness underneath the dash should except the new column's wiring.
I could be wrong but if it were me i would pursue that DenaliDriver |
