Tire question...

I had a friend offer me a set of tires. I have an extra set of rims, so I'm going to mount them for times when I want a lil more rubber on the road.

My current set is the stock 31x 10.50. The new set is 33x12.50. Will these fit on the stock rim?

and, if given the choice, would you put the 'regular' tire on a black rim, to give it some attitude, or leave the stock parts stock, and turn the beast into a Hell-raiser on big tires, with black rims?

Re: Tire question...

ok, if the rim is the same size as the stock rims it should fit, u can get any size tire as long as the rims are same size. 33s look better on a bronco as i have a bronco with a 4in lift and 33in tires on it, used to be 33in in front and 35in in back but the 35in tires didnt have thread on it so, as far as the rim color, if the black rims fit the new tires thats what i would do.

The 33x12.50's will fit the stock rims just fine. They will also fit under the fender wells without lifting the truck. They will, however, rub lightly on the torsion arms when you turn the wheel all the way to either side, so plan on giving yourself a couple extra feet to turn around.

Put the big tires on the black rims! I don't know if it's respect or fear, but when you give a Bronco even a LITTLE attitude, people stay outta your way!

Re: Tire question...

Thing is, I won't be running the 33's all the time. I live in an area where we get those "Hellorhighwater" situations from time to time, so I'm going to change them seasonally. I figure a lil attitude on the 31's would be ok, since the 33' have enough on their own...but I'll be big enough to say I'm wrong, and be respectable at times, and totally "un" at others. Thanks, guys!

Re: Tire question...

I'd like to get a lift, but I go too near "civilization" to really put one in. I went to the airport a few years back, and 6'8" didn't leave a lot of clearance.
