electrial problem - clock resetting 2002 GT
My sons 2002 GT is experiencing a strange electrical problem.
With ignition key in acc you can read the current time. when you start car the clock resets to 1:00. Radio presets not effected. The car was recently in accident front bumper ripped off, damage was done to fog lamp and headlight wiring. All were repaired and working fine. |

first thing I would check is the radio memory fuse, someone once mentioned it was the same fuse as the cigarette lighter. If that fuse is good then it should keep the time (I would think), the only two other things I would guess it could be is something with the radio its self, or the ignition (but I doubt ignition). there's my 2 cents.

Fuses are okay! Car keeps time while car is off and while running. It is while cranking that the clock resets.
