Is my clutch gone? 1999 w/100k mi

Hi everyone,

The clutch on my 1999 V6 4WD is starting to sink to the floor. I just passed the 100k mile mark. Sometime it will stay down there and I will have to pull it up with my foot. The engagement point is also really low to the ground. I do not really notice any slipping during acceration though. Is it time for a clutch job, or is it something else?

If it is the clutch, how much should I expect to pay a shop to do it?

It sounds to me more like a hydrolic problem. I just replaced the clutch in my 4Runner and it did the same thing. I jumped the gun my only problem was my slave cyclinder went bad. So check the cheap/easy parts first. And get under the dash and check the pedal assembly mine broke also and I had to rebolt it to the firewall.
