44 solex
whats a smoother accelerating carb? 40 webber dual barrel or a single barrel 44 solex? i have the 4 webber and it boggs out so im thinking that the single barrel is better?

I have dual weber 40's on mine and they are like an on/off switch. They are very hard to drive smoothly. A friend of mine has a single dellarto 40 with a 1776 and it has a very smooth acceleration. If you want power and dont care about driveability then go with the dual set up. If you want to run on the street as a daily driver go with a single set up, you will still have ample power with out the problems of dual carbs. Also with a dual set up you have to worry about sync the carbs and that can be a pain.

get a 40mm kadron they r better than the weber 2 barrel..

i think im gonna go back to my 34 it will save me gas and maybe ill save up some money for a bigger engine. anyone have a 34 that they dont need?
