misfire?

I have a 2001 SC,50.000 miles.It feels like a misfire at all speeds.I ran a code of P0340 - camshaft position sensor.According to auto suppliers,no such thing.I've changed plugs,wires look good,used injector cleaner.Can't service fule filter myself 'cause it's in gas tank.Does anybody have suggestions?

yeah what kind of plugs did you buy and from where? your plug wires can always look good and still be bad. i have worked on a car with brand new wires(guy changed them week before) and when my boss was cranking the car i noticed the new wire was arching which caused the pcm to short and was the reason it wouldnt start. also yeah there is no cam sensor on a saturn. the ignition module acts as a cam sensor. saturns are very sensitive to misfires. even if everything is perfect(i run msd ignition with ac delco rapidfire plugs) you can still pick up that code like i sometimes do on cold mournings.

saturnspeed_12 thanx for the info.the cam sensor was confusing to me.
I first replaced the plugs with AC,but it ran worse with them.I put NGKs back in.How do you check for good plug wires? Is this what you suggest I try replacing?

well if your getting a po304 code it really one pertains to plugs, wires, coils, and ignition module. id say replace the wires with quality ones, no duralast or autozone/advance auto crap. with those wires they typically arch causing misfires once installed. sometimes advance can have ac delco wires, but stick with napa belden, dealer, or msd(pretty cheap and do great). they may cost more, but they are worth it.

also pull your coils off and check for corrosion on the terminals. the terminals stick up from the ignition module and go into the coil. this is another area to check, if there is corrosion then scrap it off and be careful not to break the things off. and when you put the coil back on dont tighten it down too tight or the edge of it will crack. just snug it down.
