remote starters

does anyone make a remote start that would just plug in to existing wiring for my 2002 gmc 1500hd? this one looks like it might be close but I can't find out anything from ac delco web site on it.

If you look on the GM website under accessories, they sell a unit which may be what you are looking for

Re: remote starters

trust me on this one ,there is nothing that will plug into your truck for a remote start, that is only on the brand new chrysler product and still requires some wiring.to put a starter on your truck it all must be hardwired and a passlock module must be intergrated as well.for simplicity DEI makes the best passlock module a 555l and for starters dei, autostart, compustart.stick with brands that are mainly sold in canada as they get proper cold weather testing
where are you and i can recommend some one.maybe my shop if you are close by edmonton alberta.and yes i am a PROFESSIONAL installer with 17 years of experience, and i own my own shop.hope this helps.
