Headlight sensor override???
Just wanting to know if anyone knows how to override the automatic headlights on a 2001 Venture. There are times that I would like to shut my headlights off when it is dark out and only have my running lamps on, but can not figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Hunter's Mom |

Re: Headlight sensor override???
Setting the parking break to the first click will disable the lights. However this may be enough to allow the breaks to make contact with the drums, overheating them. Other then that, there is no easy way to disable the lights. It's a safty feature.

I think I have tried that and it doesn't work. Is there any other methods that could possibly work?

Re: Headlight sensor override???
There is a wire on the parking brake pedal. I believe it is a green wire. cut it off and ground it to the medal. This will over ride the lights meaning you will need to turn the switch on always. If you press the brake before you start the van the lights will stay off.
