1996 aftermarket stero Help

i am installing a alpine deck into my freinds car and I pulled the stock stero out I put the new one in all connections are good but I start the car up and there is no power to the stero it does not turn on.
Was wondering if the theft protection would blow a fuse in the fuse box and if so where is the fuse box I cant find it or if there is a code i need to fix ecu??? any help would be appreacitated......
