2000 Trooper 4WD Brake Rotor Replacement
Another issue. I'm going to replace the brake pads soon and my usual practice is to have the rotors resurfaced, especially if they are grooved at all. I've not had to do any bake work on this vehicle to date, so I'm heading into new territory. I have the manual, but I couldn't find anything in it for rotor removal. Anything special about the rotors? Do you have a procedure for removing and installing the front and back brake rotors? Any special tools needed?
Thanks, Larry |

Re: 2000 Trooper 4WD Brake Rotor Replacement
I just replaced my rotors on my '98 Trooper today, and it's not that bad. After taking the wheels off, you remove the bearing cover and spacer behind with an 8mm allen wrench. After that, it's pretty self-explanatory. You need 22mm & 17mm (I think) sockets, 8 & 6mm allen wrenches, philips screwdriver, pliers, grease, and LOTS of paper towels. If you need any more help just PM me or post it here.
