feedback for suspension.

what aftermarket springs and/or shocks do you guys have on?
I installed KYB gas shocks and Intrax progressive springs, along with 40/205 tires. It rides super shit on bumps, thats for damn sure (the bang afterward makes me feel lke the whole car is about to break in half). gaaah! BUT when I corner during (smoooth asphalt) canyon runs, its fun as hell bc I can leave BMWs far far behind. I'm sure almost everyone here know of this experience.
I thought of Bilstein/Eibach combo since thats very common. Tein stuff looks interesting also. But really, since I do part time messenger job in LA twice a week for 10 hours shift at a time, I really want to have something more comfy sometimes... any feedback regarding this matter?

Re: feedback for suspension.

I have spritn performance springs and KYB's and 45/205 and it is rough over bumps. The shocks need to be stiffer. It is the best handling car me or any of my friends have. Just not over bumps.

Re: feedback for suspension.

this is where I get confused about. Does "stiffer" means more strut travel resistance or less? If its more, then the ride is bound to be bumpier right?. If it is less resistance, that means less bumpy but the inside wheels will leave asphalt during sharp corners? I've thought of getting adjustable strut offered by tein in the future. Do you think that will help?

Re: feedback for suspension.

Adjustables are your best bet. I am talking about more resistance in the shock when I say stiffer. It will be more bumpy, but most likely now your problem is when you hit a bump your current shocks are too soft so the tire bounces up and hits the fender or bottoms out, if they were stiffer this wouldn't happen because the amount of pressure would be held better by a stiffer shock. I want adjustables but they are kinda outta the price range for my gt, I will get them on the trac.
