Ti issues - leaking boot, petrol smell

Hey, i currently own a 1990 Ti. Lately there have been a few small problems which i hope someone can help me with.

My boot leaks. Lots. The carpet inside is soaked and stinks, and i just removed my spare tyre and there was a pool of water underneath (about 10 ice cream containers!!!). On a side note, both indicators are filled with water. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do myself (i.e. buy some water resistant seal, or do i have to see someone and have him charge me lots?).

The other issue, is that whenever i drive for longer then 30min, when i stop, there is a strong petrol smell. Any ideas? There is nothing spilled on the outside near the entrance, so i'm not sure.

Any help would be great. Cheers.
