lots o miles

I have a 98 cherokee with roughly 130000 miles, I will be commuting 40 miles one way a day. Is there anything special that I should do in addition to the scheduled maintenance to make it last longer??

Nope, not really.
130000 isnt a huge amount of miles for a modern vehicle, not like it was 20 or 30 years ago. You will probably see accessories and secondary components such as alt, power steering pump, A/C, Radiator, sensors and so forth that may start to go bad but the major driveline (with proper maintenance) should last a good while longer. Just stay up on those small things and replace/repair what goes wrong and you should have a reliable vehicle for years to come.
Just for reference, Ive got a 96 XJ with 122000 on it and I wouldnt hesitate to drive it cross country tomorrow. My wife drove a 99 Wrangler with over 100000 every day, 30 miles one way (until gas was $3, now she drives a Kia) for years with no major problems at all. Both are still going strong and I expect that will be the case for a long time. Taking care of them is still cheaper than buying a new Jeep.

I have a 91 with 274k on it and drive it every day. I actually prefer it to my 2000 Altima. I did not replace anything on it other than tires and oil until about 230k.
