My New Car...

Hello... I just bought a Civic... that's it under there It's only a month old to me so it's time to start with the mods. I bought it "as-is" except for the springs, which I had installed the day I after I signed the papers. And I painted the calipers and drums too and added new grills. These pics were taken before the drums and grills were done, and one of my centercaps fell off on the way to borrow my friends digi-cam (F%&K!) The dood that had the car before my kinda crapped out on everything he did (notice the exhaust) but for the price I got on the car I couldn't pass it up. Also, I'm kinda new to owning an import so any CONSTRUCTIVE critisism would be greatly appreciated. And this is a DX model so I'm not going for a speed machine... maybe an engine swap to LS/VTEC next year but can't afford it now. Anyways, just wanted to sign on and see what's up... if anyone has some ideas for the car besides new wheels and new exhaust, I'd appreciate it... laterz

Thanks man... I've done some more to it since those pics were taken. It's hard for me to get ahold of a digital camera though.

I would personally like to add my thoughts/tastes in and go for an Si lip. I think they look mean and you don't normally have a problem with scraping them up from what I hear with the 6th generation crowd.

Originally I wanted to go with a lip and nothing else (maybe rear lip) but after doing my grills I really want to replace my bumper. This guy I know is selling a Buddy Club front end for $250 so I'm gonna try to get my hands on it. Also since you brought up match painting the sides, how easy is that to do yourself? Is it just removing the side moldings and painting them or what? I would like to do as much of this myslef as possible, I just get more satisfaction out of it this way. I'll try to post another pic but for some reason it's real slow to post these pics...

Nice ride man Maybe you can get some Clear/Reds...but if it were my car I WOULDNT go w/ the 99-00 one's...I'd try to find one's with the Red at the Bottom and the clear on top! IMO That would look badass since everyone else has em Red on TOP on Clear on bottom If ya cant find em buy a set of clears and make em...Good luck with your car man looks good!

Since you dropped your car, you should get a camber kit and save yourself money in the long run.

Actually, as far as the tail lights are concerned, and I know they've been played out, but I love the way the Gen 3 Altezza's look on a silver car. Already ordered And it's weird about the camber b/c the front is fine. I didn't need to adjust anything on it... the back is kinda off but your back tires don't hardly wear anyways as long as you rotate 'em regularly.
