Ignition Key problem

Hello All,

I am considering buying a 90' GS Integra. When its cold (and its cold right now in Chicago) and I turn off the car I can't get the key out. It won't turn into the lock position for about 2 or 3 or maybe more minutes then it works. The seller would live with this problem by simply leaving the key in the car and locking the doors with another key. I tried that and once when I tried to start the car with the key left in in the lock position, I could not turn the key to start the car for many minutes and many attempts at turning the key. The person I am buying it from told me of this problem stating it could be upwords of 30 minutes before the key would 'lock' and could be removed depending on the temp. The colder the longer it takes to 'lock'. Is this a noted problem with this era of Integra? Is this a simple replacement of the ignition lock? Any suggestions or insight are appreciated.
