Re: VW beetle cabriolet Wip

Nice christmas present, did you use automotive paint for it as the colour match is IMO spot-on? What kit did you use as a starting point for this cool bug?

The kit is the revell kit. Lots of flashing on all of the parts, took a while to clean then up

as for the paint it is duplicolour. I sprayed honda hamstead green for the base with lite gm blue for the top coat. No clear on it.

Thanks for all the kind words. I should have some updated interior pics on the weekend. Most of the interior is done just need to touch up some paint and paint 1 interior door panel yet. then assembly the tiny engine and insert onto chassis

Nice work!!! You've done an exceptional job on the model!!!

Always loved this car!

An old GF of mine had one almost identical to it! Can't count the times we let the air out of the tires 'cause she didn't want to get reamed by her father for comin' home "Late". . .

No, it wasn't my idea! She figured that it would be better to call him out at two in the mornin' to change her tire than it was to to be caught comin' home at that hour. . .

Worked MAYBE the first 3 times outta a hundred!!!
