93 Mercury Sable 3.8 stalls but starts back up easily
Got a 93 Mercury Sable, 3.8 V6 that drove me nuts stalling while driving, but would start back up easily. Replaced the plugs and wires, idle air control sensor, the coolant temperature sensor, and the ignition control module -- and it still kept stalling. What it turned out to be was a vacuum leak. Found it by following the vacuum line from the EGR and it went down to the left side of the engine (driver's side) and connected to a "T" right by the radiator (driver's side). Had to get underneath the car to discover that the line was cracked and swelled at the connector. Was looking for something on top of the engine. Never thought it would be down there. Anyway, replaced the line and that did the trick. Just wanted to share in hopes someone else can use this information
