Question for you Civic guys regarding the JDM SiR hatchback (EG6)
Greets,
My knowledge of Civic hatchbacks as far as cosmetics and their differences is limited. Are there any fundamental differences between the USDM Si hatchback and the JDM SiR hatchback other than the motors? Suspension differences such as a rear anti-roll bar, disc brakes all around, or other bracing/suspension upgrades? I'm mainly focused on suspension differences and if there are any comfort differences on the interior such as power windows, power door locks, sunroof, etc. Also, were there any specific colors the USDM Si came in? What about the JDM SiR? And finally, what were the chassis codes for the USDM Si? Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Question for your Civic guys regarding the JDM SiR hatchback (EG6)
'Preciate the info, but that only answers my question about the chassis code. I still would like to know if the USDM Si hatchback came in specific colors and if anybody knows, the differences (if any) in suspension and interior features between the USDM Si hatchback and the JDM SiR hatchback.

Re: Question for your Civic guys regarding the JDM SiR hatchback (EG6)
EH3 is the chassis code.
The Si came in captive blue pearl, milano red, and flint black. I'm sure the SiR had stiffer suspension than the Si, but I don't know how much of a difference there is. The SiR hb came with the different rear interior. There is a little storage compartment over the spare tire well, that is flush with the rear seats when they are folded down. The seats are also different, different colors and materials. The lights for most of the interior are an amber color. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. |

Re: Question for your Civic guys regarding the JDM SiR hatchback (EG6)
Awesome info. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Do you know if the SiR had a rear anti-roll bar from the factory like the JDM Del Sol SiR and USDM Del Sol VTEC did? I'm sure it has a front one - even the Del Sol S and Si had those (at least the Si did anyway). What about power steering and windows? I think the Si and SiR had sunroofs, four-wheel disc brakes and ABS - I'm pretty sure about that. Would you happen to know what colors the JDM SiR came in?
That's all the info I'm looking for. If you can answer those questions that'd be spectacular.

Re: Question for your Civic guys regarding the JDM SiR hatchback (EG6)
Yup the SiR had a front and rear sway bar (as well as a factory front strut bar). Power steering, power folding mirrors, option for a sunroof, 4 wheel disk brakes. ABS was either an option or was on only some of them (doubt it was an option, so it was probably on the later 5th gen models). But the with the Si I believe very few, if any, had ABS (very rare if any do). I have no idea on colors though.
