If you want another fix, why don't you try to drift, it is way better than watching it on t.v. or reading about it in a magazine.

Or if you have a game console, play Initial-D Special Stage for PS2, or Gran Turismo 4, (they have 3 or 4 cars from the formula D series in there)

P.S. snow is coming, that makes for some exelent low-horsepower drifting!

what are you saying? Dont get me wrong though, I am not offended, I just don't agree. here is why:

A Corolla is a left hand drive Trueno. So if "Corollas suck" then Truenos suck. If Trueno's suck then Ueo and his Yukes AE86 suck. And that ain't true.

Ueo kicked ass at D1, and he aint no beginner. I already have a beginner car, a 1972 AMC Hornet 4-door, 232cu 100hp FR, 8" tires all the way around! I want to go big by gutting it and making a super light drift car.

Re: ok new thread time

Well id have to say Ae86's dont suck, they can do things 240's gto's and rx7's cant do. drifting isnt about how much hp or smoke you have, its about technique

Exactly! people wouldn't use them if they sucked. Even Initial-D would have chosen a different car if it wern't for the fact that AE86's kick ass on the down-hill almost straight out of the factory. Even fully customized, it is still cheeper than a mild custom RX-7, or GT-R. And It (in the right hands) could blow away almost anything out there.

lol youre so deluded. Shigeno, author of Initial d picked that car because he liked it. it was cheap and lightweight, who

dude with 10k invested i doubt youd even get close to the performance of a stock RX-7 (were talking the FD right?). never mind that half of these cars are expensive now ($3000 for an economy car in the mid 80s? rape.) and doing swaps and stuff is expensive, shit, i could have a 240sx with a sr and some coilovers cheaper than a AE101 swapped hachi. good luck finding one.

and wow man, most other cars would rape hachis on downhill, uphill, straight, on a track, whereever, with a capable driver.

i like the corolla ae86, but its nowhere close to being a great car

Re: ok new thread time

lol its a good car but i wouldnt go overboard about blowing away a GTR...i mean its not like you see any jgtc hachi's, but its a good drift car and fun to drive, its just a lightweight well handling car, with very little HP

lol i saw this and almost cried, you did not just make a reference of comparing cars with a cartoon.....
either way i do like these cars i am just not agreeing with the us market right now, for the price that most of them are its not worth it, you can get an old e30 or something for cheaper and they have matching, if not better performance.

Re: Re: Re: ok new thread time

Corrolas suck. Any good coilover besides maybe SPLs new stuff is 3000$, then... once you get good coilovers you have to run big spring, which, is why Taka can't keep his right side up (not to mention every other Corrola in the FD feild). Solid axle is a blast from the past. then theres the 100whp part. AWESOME.

Corrolas are an OK car to learn on, but once you learn the basics it will be the first thing holding you back. I mean, Probably 75% of the Drivers in the D1 / BM feild started with Rollas, crashed them and then got S Chassis.

The only cool thing about Rollas is that they can get Mega Angle if the driver knows what he/she is doing. Beyond that its all stale.

Man, this makes me feel angry that I actually wasted time typing logical reasons why the Rolla isnt great.

1) If you think you could do a fully modded Rolla for cheap your a numbnut and need to roll back to the arcade for more Inital D

2) If you think a fully modded Rolla wouldnt get curb stomped by mild GTR or FC or S Chassis you need to roll back to the arcade for more Inital D.

3) Did you just use the "Downhill" reference for serious? RETARD.
