Changing battery cables

Hi me again, I know I have been asking alot of questions but this is becasue I have never really had a place to ask them at.
I drive a 2000 camaro v-6 3.8 and I have replaced the battey twice. I just replaced it again about a week ago becasue the votage thing on the panal keeped on jumping all over the place. It still does that even after the replaced battey. All the wires leading out from the battery including the ground all have corroision on them pretty bad so I would just like the replace the battery wires.
Running off the battery I have the standerd GM wires but I had a sound system the got stolen so I'm going to just forget about getting another one for now and just remove the amp wire.
So my main question is if I should do this myself. I'm not a total car person meaning that I can do an oil chage but magor stuff comes new to me and I have some difficulty. Is this just pulling the wires and putting the same ones back or is it something eles alot more confusing like everything eles on this car.
Where can I get the new wires at and it connects at only 3 places in the engine right?
I will post some pictures soon so that you can all say "you left that like this" and "change it now"
Thx for your help, Mason.

Re: Changing battery cables

yes, it's just a matter of removing the old wires, and putting new ones in their place. but it's always easier said than done.

they go to more than just 3 places tho, I know on mine, the negative goes from the battery to the chassis, and there's also a smaller lead to goes off to the side. Positive goes from the battery to the starter, another terminal by the radiator, and then somewhere else, i don't remember, i think i'm gonna go thru hell when it comes time to put this all back together.
