Question 2004 Grand Prix GTP

Blower fan problem on a 2004 GTP. The fan started intermittenly not coming on when I turned the control knob. Once it came back on when I hit a bump in the road. A couple of other times it has kicked on when I shut the car door. Does this sound like a blower switch problem or should I look at something different?

It sounds like you have an intermittant contact somewhere. If it is a 2004 it should still be covered by the 3/36 bumper to bumper. Take it to the dealer and let them chase it down, should be free.

I appreciate your help with the diagnosis. Unfortunately, due to my work, I must drive a great deal. Of course I am just over the 40,000 mile mark so the warranty is bye bye. Is there a blower switch that may me bad? If so, is it something I can replace myself? Where is it located? Under the dash or on the firewall somewhere?

Thanks for any input you may have.
