weird fan problem

So my car was sent in for a tune up...It's got 257,000+ miles on it, but I'm sure that is irrelevant. After the tune up, the first (lowest) setting fan speed does not work...The other three do. If the AC switch is on, the compressor turns on, but there is nothing coming out of the vents. Recycle-air is on, and the top vents are selected. Is there a way to fix this?

Re: weird fan problem

You both need a new(er) fan speed resistor. The fine wire for the lowest fan speed has burned out (much like a bulb filament). It's located behind the glove box held to the heater box by two screws. You can either get a new one from the dealer or forage at the junkyard. The same resistor is used for several different Hondas and Acuras. GL
