[97 neon]

i came to this website after i changed the motor in my neon, it developed a surging in and out..like you were driving into a guest of wind, well i went ahead and put new champion plugs in it and another coil pack on it without taking it to the dodge dealership....and guess what, the car had alll of it's power back and i cannot believe how much better it runs, bosch platinums are junk and i will never will buy them again period for my neon, changed the plug wires to...and now for christmas it is getting a msd igntion put on it, i already have put a cold air intake on it and that alone made a huge difference as well, i would like to say thanks to das 2123 for all his help in troubleshooting the issue and whoever else helped me out, i just recently lost my best friend in a street racing accident and he always wanted to see my neon run right..i guess he got his wish rip:dylon and his mustang gt also known as jason to me...now that i that i have her running right...let the mods begin..i was playing around with it after i got her running right and the driverside axle is vibrating badly on takeoffs now...but what would be another good power upgrade and are the msd ignitions worth the 140.00 off ebay or not???

The MSD ignition is good if you are going to install cams and/or adjustable cam gears. As fas as power upgrades, the usual bolt-ons are CAI, UDP, bigger TB, header, and PCM. Then you get into cams, cam gears, valves, lifters, springs, and what not.
